November 11, 2018
On Nov. 1, 2018, 14 area independently owned Philly Pretzel Factory locations started their month-long campaign in honor of Veterans Day. This year the 14 locations are raising money to help 24-year veteran retired MSgt. Kenneth J. Ochoa of Jacksonville, N.C. who lost everything due to Hurricane Florence. Unfortunately, FEMA and other insurances do not cover much of the rebuild expenses, let alone the personal items that were lost.
All 14 locations will be donating a portion of every V shaped pretzel sold throughout the month of November to Mr. Ochoa. Additionally, each location will be selling V shaped donation cards which will be displayed in store.
Over the course of Mr. Ochoa’s 24 years of service he collected many mementos all of which including his uniforms and awards, are gone.
